We had a month to work on this, and I'm finishing just a few hours before the deadline.

So here is my entry for the "Modern Jet" contest at , a Kira!Jet busily working on creating his own world.

Now, you may be thinking, "Whomever, out of all the possibilities, why did you do Jet as a Kira?"

Because rewatching season two!Jet continues to annoy me. The Jet that I became fascinated in, all the depth of character, seemed water down.

So I am countering that by bringing back the slightly-psychotic, manipulative, self-righteous bastard part of Jet, and who else to mimic that off of other than Light Yagami?

(Well, there's also V and Enishi in the "slightly-psychotic, manipulative, self-righteous bastard" category, but Enishi isn't modern, and V... would be harder. )

Also, I would like to draw your attention to the sweatshirt. Why? Because it's what I'm most proud of in this picture. ...seriously. Even after going insane with the newly discovered burn and dodge tools, it still looks pretty good.

Also, I am aware the backpack is a bit screwy. I've edited it a bit, but after working on this piece for 10+ hours, a minor mistake at the end can wait to be fixed.


So yea... Not much else to say.


...other than I'm glad that *sylvacoer said she couldn't enter her picture, because otherwise I wouldn't even have tried.
